Rochelle Rice is a dynamic and compelling vocalist and songwriter, and has been named Best Jazz Vocalist by Washington City Paper Jazzy Awards. Fresh from her residency at the prestigious arts center, Strathmore, her profound and flawless sound joins the singer/songwriters of the 1960s and the contemporary jazz vocalists of today. As a consistent voice on Washington DCs music scene, Rochelle has performed at some of the areas top venues and events including The Kennedy Center, The Filmore, Twins Jazz Club, Amp by Strathmore, DC Jazz Festival, and the Hamilton. In 2014 she produced and performed the sold-out debut of The Conversation: Stories of Hope, Heart, and Wholeness, a joining of both classical and jazz music, featuring the well celebrated lyric coloratura, Marlissa , and one of the regions jazz piano masters, Allyn Johnson....
