Legendary Mack Avenue recording artist & NEA Jazz Master Gerald Wilson will be honored at the 2010 Congressional Black Caucus Foundation (CBCF) Annual Legislative Conference (ALC) Jazz Issue Forum and Concert.

This year marks the 25th Anniversary of the CBCF ALC Jazz Issue Forum and Concert, which will take place on Thursday, September 16, 2010, from 7:30 to 10:30pm in Ballroom A of the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, in Washington, D.C.

The concert, hosted by Congressman John Conyers Jr., will feature will feature of National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) Jazz Master Gerald Wilson's music, including selections from his masterwork "Detroit," performed by the Smithsonian Jazz Masterworks Orchestra (SMJO) and lead by Maestro NEA Jazz Master Dr. David Baker. ...
